National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award 2022

Age & Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival, in partnership with Nursing Homes Ireland, wish to recognise two outstanding arts projects through the National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award.

Applications are invited from care settings who wish to facilitate their residents’ artistic and creative expression by organising interactive and engaging arts workshops, sessions and events.

The project will culminate in a festival event to be presented as part of the second National Arts in Nursing Homes Day, taking place Friday 20 May during the Bealtaine Festival 2022.

The first National Arts in Nursing Homes Day was held in May 2021 and saw 144 care settings around the country get involved in arts activities to celebrate the spirit of Bealtaine.

Two awards of €1,000 will be made to the two successful applicants, one from Age & Opportunity and one from Nursing Homes Ireland.
