The Arts Council has issued a survey for artists to assess the continued financial impact of COVID-19. This is a follow up to surveys sent out by the Arts Council in April 2020 and 2021.
The findings from these previous surveys were presented to the Oireachtas Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media and formed part of Arts Council submissions to government for support in 2021 and 2022.
Artists are asked to participate again to help the Arts Council track the continued impact of the pandemic. This year’s survey is shorter while maintaining consistency across key financial impact questions. It is hoped that the survey will provide similarly important insights to inform the Arts Council’s work.
This survey is for completion by professional artists who are normally based in Ireland. This is a person who identifies themselves and is recognised by their peers as an artist, who is actively pursuing a career as an artist in any art form, and who considers their arts work as their main profession or career. This applies even if their work in the arts is not their main source of income or they have other employment.

The survey is open until 29 April 2022.
