Kildare County Council has announced two awards for 2023 to support creative projects and artists working in the area of Arts, Health & Wellbeing in the county.
Kildare County Council Arts Service is committed to supporting health and wellbeing through engagement and participation in the arts and developing opportunities for professional development. Kildare’s Arts, Health and Wellbeing programme supports public engagement, provides opportunities for artists working in this area, and aims to promote artistic ambition and inclusive participation.
Arts, Health & Wellbeing Award 2023
Individual artists and/or art collectives practicing in any artform are invited to apply for the Kildare Arts, Health & Wellbeing Award 2022.
The Arts, Health & Wellbeing Award will provide a grant of up to €4,000 to support the development and/or creation and/or presentation of new artistic work that supports public engagement with the arts, in particular with hard-to-reach communities or those limited access to the arts, whether for physical, social or geographical reasons.
First Fortnight Award 2023
Individual artists and/or collectives in any artform are invited to apply for the Kildare Arts Service First Fortnight Award 2023. The award, in collaboration with First Fortnight, aims to support the development and presentation of new work that provokes conversation around mental health and promotes mental health awareness and wellbeing.
The Kildare Arts Service First Fortnight Award will provide a grant of €4,000 towards the development and/or presentation of new work. The recipient(s) of the award will be included as part of Kildare’s First Fortnight Festival programme of events in January 2024.
Deadline
The deadline for receipt of applications for both funding awards is Tuesday 28 February 2023 at 5pm.
