Applications are invited from local, community based groups or individuals who wish to create an exciting new festival event (which may be online, blended or in-person) to be presented during the Bealtaine Festival in May, celebrating the arts and creativity as we age. All art forms and event types will be considered. Members of marginalised or underrepresented groups are especially invited to apply.
Two awards of €500 will be made to two successful applicants.
Please read the guidelines before before submitting your application form.
Deadline: Friday 17 February 2023 at 5pm.

The third National Arts in Nursing Homes Day will take place on Friday 26 May 2023 in partnership with Nursing Homes Ireland, as part of the annual Bealtaine Festival.
Applications are invited from care settings who wish to facilitate their residents’ artistic and creative expression by organising interactive and engaging arts workshops, sessions and events. The project will culminate in a festival event on National Arts in Nursing Homes Day.
One award of €1,000 and two awards of €500 will be made to three successful applicants.
Please read the guidelines before submitting your application form.
Deadline: Friday 24 February 2023 at 5pm.
Age & Opportunity encourages nursing homes to mark the role of arts in our nursing homes by hosting an event to participate in and commemorate the Festival. All nursing homes are eligible to take part, whether they are a recipient of a National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award or not.
