Dementia Inclusive Gallery Tours at dlr LexIcon this May

The dementia inclusive gallery tours at dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire, are specially designed for people living with dementia, and their caregivers. Groups from residential care settings can also arrange tours at a time and date that suits their residents. An online experience is also available if that suits the needs of participants best.

The tours are facilitated by artists Julie Merriman and Claire Halpin, and Orla Goodwin, Co-ordinator of the Learning Programme, who are all trained to support people living with dementia. They will guide the group through selected artworks from the County Art Collection this May to celebrate Bealtaine Festival.

Explore and discuss a selection of artworks with time at the end for all involved to enjoy a cup of tea and chat about the experience.
