Opportunity
Helium Arts, the national children’s arts and health organisation, is seeking an experienced and well-organised Youth Participation and Engagement Coordinator to develop and coordinate youth voice and influence in Helium Arts and beyond, in the context of arts and health, to support the advancement of the organisation’s Strategic Goals for 2023-2027. Building on existing practice, the Youth Participation and Engagement Coordinator will develop new strategies to facilitate the voice of the child in all aspects of Helium Arts’ work e.g. programming, planning, promotion.
This will involve the initial writing of a three-year Youth Engagement and Participation Framework and Plan, and then the development of inclusive participation approaches and methodologies, followed by the provision of training for the team and the monitoring of quality standards in the area of youth voice and engagement for Helium Arts staff, to ensure that the voice of young people is central to Helium Arts’ practice as a children and young people’s arts and health organisation.
