Opportunity
Age & Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival, in partnership with Nursing Homes Ireland, will recognise three outstanding arts projects through the National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award 2024.
Applications are invited from care settings who wish to facilitate their residents’ artistic and creative expression by organising interactive and engaging arts workshops, sessions and events led by professional artists.
The activities will be presented as part of National Arts in Nursing Homes Day, taking place on Friday 17 May during the Bealtaine Festival 2024.
One award of €1,000 and two awards of €500 will be made to the three successful applicants.

Webinar for Care Staff: National Arts in Nursing Homes Day 2024
Wednesday 7 February, 2pm-3.30pm
If you work in a nursing home, day care centre or community hospital, come along to a free information webinar to find out what’s involved in participating in the event. Age & Opportunity and Nursing Homes Ireland will provide key information on running an activity or event for National Arts in Nursing Homes Day including ideas and tips for devising and planning your event. There will be handy resources that can be used in organising and advertising the event, and information about applying for the 2024 NANHD Awards.
