Michael Lomon, animation response to stories from the IHF artist residency programme.

Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) invites applicants for a free training programme exploring the many roles of arts and culture in contemporary dying, grief and bereavement. The programme will run throughout May 2024, in person at weekends and online in the evenings.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will gain an awareness of IHF’s work, contemporary understanding of Grief, Loss and Bereavement, existing supports and resources in Ireland, current issues and concerns, the roles and functions of creative work, an appreciation of what different art forms may offer, self-care and work practices, an awareness of the requirements of working creatively in hospitals and community.

Approach
The course will use talks, case studies and interactive sessions. It will take place in person and online: four full days and four online evening sessions. Developing an outline of a personal project will form part of your learning. Learning packs and reading materials will be made available.

Who This is For
Professionals in the arts and health who work with, or are interested in working with, people who have experienced loss.

Registration and Costs
