The Blooming Minds Club at Creative Spark Dundalk
As part of The Blooming Minds Club at Creative Spark Dundalk, artist and art therapist Jenny Slater will present a morning workshop for professional artists on 28 May 2024. The workshop will explore youth mental health within community group art contexts from an Art Therapist’s perspective.
The Blooming Minds Club is a youth-led artist-supported creative arts hub for young people experiencing mental health difficulties based at Creative Spark, with outreach workshops in Drogheda. The programme is taking place in partnership with HSE Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and is funded by the Creative Ireland Nurture Fund.

Location: Creative Spark, Dundalk, County Louth
During this two-hour workshop you will explore what good mental health and wellbeing means, and learn about the main mental health challenges affecting teen participants of The Blooming Minds Club. There will be an opportunity for some short experiential art-making to reflect upon our learning and to discuss how we can use art-making to support our own self-care needs as creative practitioners into the future.
