People with Parkinson’s disease are invited to take part in a Dance & Movement Study as part of Masters research conducted by Alice Renzini at the School of Psychology, University College Dublin.

The research study is focused on understanding movement in individuals with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease, using online seated dance tasks designed to be engaging, accessible, and low-impact.

This study is approved by the UCD Research Ethics Committee. Participation is voluntary, and all data will be handled confidentially.

Who can participate?

  • Individuals with mild to moderate Parkinson’s and no other neurological condition
  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing
  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection

What will you be asked to do?

  • Attend an initial screening video call (30 minutes)
  • Participate in two online sessions involving seated dance movements (up to 1.5 hours)
  • Complete brief questionnaires on mood and experience
