The Homemade Circus Toolkit is designed to equip carers and activity coordinators with the skills and confidence to lead inspiring circus activity sessions in care home settings.
The toolkit has been created by Upswing, a contemporary circus arts organisation based in London who have been bringing circus activities into care homes for over a decade. Their activities have helped spark new friendships, brought shy residents out of their shell, contributed to improved dexterity and flexibility, and helped care staff and residents to see each other in a whole new light.
The toolkit includes instructional videos, activity worksheets, expert guidance and practical insights to take your circus sessions further. Whether you’re seeking gentle introductions or a challenge, Upswing’s circus artists will guide you step-by-step on how to properly use different circus equipment and share the joy of circus with the people in your care home.
Care home staff can access the toolkit for free. All membership options give you full access to the toolkit.
