Vocal Beats is a hospital-ward-based music project led by rb&hArts for children and young people aged 0-25 years old at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. For this external evaluation report, authors Marion Friend MBE, Gráinne Hope of Kids’ Classics and Charlotte Wells, Specialist Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist, explored the project from the perspectives of youth voice and development, musician wellbeing and respiratory health outcomes.
