Lán De Cheol is a short film by Sean Phair documenting the Freedom to Fly project with Mayfield Men’s Shed. This project took place as part of Creative Enquiry – Arts and Older People (2019-2020), an investigative collaborative venture looking at barriers to participation in the arts for older people.

Hosted by MusicAlive, Susan McManamon (musician and choir leader) and Helga Deasy (choreographer and dancer) worked with participants in Mayfield Men’s Shed, Cork and Nazareth House, Mallow to joyfully explore the potential of integrating voice and movement. The film includes interviews with participants, artists and the director of MusicAlive, Kevin O’Shanahan.
