Opportunity
The international film competition at the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival 2013 is now open for submissions. Entry is free. The closing date for entries is 14 June 2013.
The annual open film submission gives film-makers the opportunity to showcase their work and share ideas with audiences at the International Film Awards ceremony held during the festival. The Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival is committed to finding and celebrating the work of film-makers who explore mental health in film. Films can address specific mental health issues, but the festival is also keen to encourage innovative and diverse perspectives.
Previous winning submissions have looked at topics such as moving home, ageing, grief, loss, endurance, support, friendship, equality, sport, music, childhood as well as films about specific diagnoses or conditions. Films of any length and genre are accepted, and films made at any time, as long as they haven’t been previously submitted to the film competition.
Submission guidelines and entry form can be downloaded from the festival website here.
The seventh annual Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival will take place across Scotland throughout October 2013.
